This is one of those tools that, besides saving time, it pays for itself in no time by not dropping your flies in the river when you're re-tying. I actually have two of these on my lanyard so that if I'm changing both flies or re-doing tippet the flies stay put. If you use the clinch or improved clinch knot just thread you tippet through the hook eye and spin the tool with your fly attached to make your turns - very fast and tidy!
