This Bunny Leech pattern, tied without any hide to absorb water, is ideal to dead drift with a splitshot or a conventional indicator nymph set up. No artificial material can produce the movement in the water like rabbit fur. A favorite combo on the San Juan in the fall & winter is to trail a red larva behind the leech and drift under an indicator behind a small split shot. You can also fish it by itself with a small split shot or a 2.5 mm or 3mm tungstean bead.
