Simple but Deadly. That's how this pattern originated by well know guide Andy Kim has been described, and it is now popular throughout all Western streams.  This longer version is uniquely tied with thread for a bolder segmentation and tapered profile. My Yong Special XL is tied on a size 22 long shank hook and fishes more like a size 20 to imitate larger midge pupa.
